Our journey in building the Church.
Christbreed Int Church was founded by Pastor Joshua and his wife, Roberta, in 2015. I (Dom Bryce) came along to support the church not too long after and have journeyed with them ever since. It started off as a small church of 10-15 people meeting under a tent. Today, we number about 80+ and this body of Christ is growing.
We outgrew our previous rental land, so in Feb 2023, we took a step of faith and began raising money to buy land and build a church we could call our own.
Today, we thank God that the main sanctuary has been built. The church has a place to worship, fellowship, reach out to the lost, make disciples, pray, learn, grow, and do life together.
However, the church building is not fully completed yet! We are trusting God to raise funds to build an extension to the building which will include – restrooms, an office, a storeroom, a warden’s living space, a kitchen, and a Sunday School classroom.
The most urgent need we have now is for toilets to be constructed! I was there in October 2024 and I had to relieve myself out in the open. Thankfully I never had to do a number 2!
I would like to invite you to join us in covering our brothers and sisters in Christ in love and dignity. Thank you for your generousity.
Why does Christbreed need financial support?
Pastor Joshua and his wife are committed to discipling anyone and everyone that God brings into their path. This includes those who are very poor.
During my October 2024 trip, I had one-one conversations with a handful of church members and leaders. I ask them directly about their financial situation and found that a majority of them live close to the extreme poverty line of less than $2.15 a day per person (Worldbank).
Going through their weekly accounts, I found that over a 21 week period, their average weekly church collections was $27.03 USD. That’s not much for a church of 80+ people. While I believe there can be more done to teach about sacrificial giving, I know that this figure gives us a idea of where our brothers and sisters are financially.
We want to continue to have the opportunity to disciple the poor, some of whom don’t come to church simply because they feel too ashamed that they don’t have a financial gift to bring during times of offerings.
Any amount that you give will bless our brothers and sisters who have less. Thank you for your generousity towards God.
When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them…
